The UK Athletics (UKA) Events Team is looking for a full-time Event & Operations Senior Coordinator. This is a permanent opportunity.
You will play a pivotal role in the execution of UKAs major events programme and offer day-to-day support to both the Strategic Lead for Major Events and the Head of Events.
Reporting directly to the Head of Events, there will be the opportunity to lead on key areas of planning, logistics and operational implementation in collaboration with a number of Functional Areas which are required to deliver indoor and outdoor track and field events.
The role will also support the coordination and delivery of non-track and field domestic competition and fundamentally be part of the steering group for the UKA Cross Country Challenge Series.
This is an exciting opportunity and one where you can play a critical part in shaping how the portfolio of major athletics events is delivered in the UK. As part of UKA, you will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with Athletic Ventures, which incorporates our partners: the London Marathon Events and the Great Run Company.
Required Experience/Knowledge
The individual will have experience of working on major events deliver and understand the principles of athletics events. Their knowledge should include the creation of risk assessments, method statements and event management planning documentation. It is essential that the individual holds a UK driving license.
