The Group has delivered fantastic growth in the last few years with revenue increasing from $1.9bn in 2021 to $2.9bn in 2024 and EBITDA doubling from $550m in 2021 to $1.1bn in 2024. The business has a clear M&A strategy to support its growth and has successfully acquired and integrated 12 businesses since 2021.
About the role: The business has over 200 sales and service centres worldwide with the Group Finance team based in Glasgow. Following a recent strategic review that underscored a significant pipeline of growth opportunities, Aggreko is strengthening its team with the addition of a Group Reporting Manager to manage US GAAP reporting. This role will play a key part in supporting the company’s ambitions in North America, its largest and most strategically important region. As Aggreko transitions its reporting framework from IFRS to US GAAP, they are seeking an experienced manager who can provide essential subject-matter expertise and guide the business through this change.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the project to transition the Group’s external financial reporting from IFRS to US GAAP, including identification and quantification of key differences.
- Working closely with external advisors and the internal team to prepare technical accounting papers that document and support the Group’s accounting positions.
- Driving the transformation of external financial statements, disclosures, and regulatory filings to ensure full compliance with US GAAP and potential SEC listing requirements.
- Supporting the preparation of year-end and quarterly external filings, as well as internal board reporting, under US GAAP and SEC standards.
- Coordinating audit support activities, including preparation of schedules and responses to auditor queries.
- Updating and maintaining the Group Finance Manual to reflect US GAAP requirements.
- Serving as a key technical accounting resource across the global finance function.

- Currently working in or have recent experience within a large SEC-listed group reporting under US GAAP.
- Proven experience preparing external financial reports and regulatory filings compliant with SEC standards.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex financial transformation initiatives.
In addition, they will bring the following personal qualities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining rigorous financial controls.
- Confident working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
