Our client, Welding Engineers, is a private equity–backed industrial doors business, headquartered in Scotland, with six branches across the UK. It services, repairs, supplies and installs a broad range of industrial and commercial door solutions to customers across logistics, manufacturing, retail, and public-sector markets. The business has a strong market position, an established customer base, and a significant proportion of recurring service and maintenance revenue. Under PE ownership, the focus is on accelerated growth, operational professionalisation, and EBITDA enhancement, with a clear medium-term exit horizon.
About the role: Following recent investment from Foresight Group, Welding Engineers are seeking to appoint a Chief Executive who will have full P&L accountability and be responsible for developing and delivering the value creation plan. The mandate is to scale the business UK-wide while strengthening management capability, controls, and performance discipline.
The successful candidate will have CEO, Managing Director, or Divisional MD experience and a background in delivering high volume service and maintenance within industrial services, facilities management, or engineering services. They will have a proven track record managing multi-site UK operations and demonstrable delivery of EBITDA growth and operational improvement. They will ideally also have experience of working closely with Boards and financial sponsors.
This is a very significant opportunity for a talented and ambitious leader to join an already successful business at the outset of its private equity backed growth journey.
