In this exciting new role, you’ll be overseeing the general maintenance of our centre, maintaining health and safety, and general repairs.

Main duties of the Maintenance Operative:
- Working independently on task lists.
- Liaising with external contractors and other workers as necessary.
- Maintaining the structure and fabric of all the properties owned by the company, repairing and preserving where necessary.
- Complete basic joinery and plumbing tasks.
- Ensure water hygiene standards are maintained and any discrepancies are recorded.
- Carrying out regular water temperature checks to ensure water does not present as a scalding risk to clients.
- Ensuring that the grounds are litter-free.
- To conform to and understand Health and Safety regulations, be responsible for regularly checking the condition of any tools, ladders, personal protective equipment.
- Keeping up the maintenance of the buildings to comply with current legislation and work at any establishment owned or managed by the company.
- Attend team meetings, supervision, and refresher training as directed.
Essential criteria:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Qualifications in general repair and maintenance.
- Ability to undertake all-round general repair and maintenance work around the centre.
- Ability to complete Health and Safety checks and audits using the required systems and documentation.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to own vehicle.
- Availability to support nearby centres when required.
The Recruitment Process:
You will have an initial phone conversation with the Talent Acquisition Specialist which will be an informal chat and opportunity to ask questions about the position. If you are successful in your initial phone conversation, you will be required to undertake an interview on-site and have the opportunity to take a tour of the centre. Our shortlisted candidates will be notified if they are successful within 5 working days post interview.
