The Role

Are you an experienced Support Worker ready to step into a leadership role that makes a tangible difference during the most critical hours of the day? We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our residential rehabilitation team. This isn’t your typical 9-to-5; this is designed to provide expert oversight and stability during peak risk hours. You will serve as the essential link between our day and night teams, ensuring that our clients, including young people and those recovering from eating disorders or substance misuse, receive seamless, high-quality care 24/7.

Your Impact

  • Expert Oversight: Provide a senior presence during mornings, evenings and weekends, proactively managing risks and maintaining a structured, therapeutic environment.
  • Continuity of Care: Lead high-quality handovers, ensuring that critical information flows effectively between shifts.
  • Mentorship: Act as a role model and a leader for the Support Worker team, providing coaching, guidance, and supervision.
  • Recovery Focus: Support clients in managing daily routines, therapeutic activities, and recovery plans, helping them maintain an abstinent and independent lifestyle.
  • Operational Excellence: Assist with clinical duties including assessments, medication prompting, and auditing to maintain CQC compliance.

What You’ll Need

  • Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or a committed willingness to work towards it). Proven experience in risk assessment and management within a care setting. Strong emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and maintain professional boundaries. IT competency (Google Suite) and strong organisational skills.
  • Desirable: Experience working with substance misuse, eating disorders, or high-risk client groups. Previous experience in a senior or supervisory capacity.

Our Core Values:

  • Understanding – listening, empathising, and responding to individual needs.
  • Kindness – treating everyone with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Accountability – taking responsibility for our actions and maintaining high standards.
  • Teamwork – working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
