Position: Assistant Branch Manager

Your focus will be on supporting the branch manager in maximizing sales and achieving targets while ensuring first-class service to all our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve branch sales, margin and targets.
  • Ensure a first-class service to all customers.
  • Drive the branch team focusing on customer service and communication.
  • Drive the branch team to achieve sales and promotional targets.
  • Manage and control branch running costs.
  • Manage stock control, including stock taking and adjustments.
  • Manage cash handling and control of specific customer accounts.
  • Support senior management in implementing and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Communicate team aims, objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Responsibility for the daily running of all aspects of the branch.
  • Responsibility for maintaining health and safety within the depot.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Assistant Branch Manager in the automotive industry, or an experienced Motor Factor Parts Advisor.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve objectives.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with online and Windows-based cataloguing systems.
  • Ability to lead from the front and create a team environment.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Sales focused with a can‑do attitude.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, distinguishing between urgent and important tasks.
  • Knowledge of the local area and customer base is desirable.
