Your mission
Lead and scale a high-performing Applied Science org at the intersection of research and product-setting strategy, raising the bar on scientific excellence and shipping reliable, cost-efficient ML systems that power UiPath while diving into models when it matters and shaping roadmaps, talent, and cross-functional execution.
What you\’ll do at UiPath
Org Scope:
Build and lead a multi-disciplinary team of applied scientists across core product lines (document understanding, UI automation agents).
Launch and scale UiPath\’s new London site.
Stack:
Python, PyTorch, NumPy, scikit-learn, Langgraph, and various agentic frameworks.
Outcomes:
Deliver quantifiable improvements in model quality, latency, cost efficiency, safety, and reliability through rapid research-to-production cycles.
What you\’ll bring to the team
10 years in applied ML, including 4 years leading multi-team organizations delivering production ML systems.
Deep ML expertise with strong foundations in math, statistics, and computer science.
Proficiency in modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and distributed systems.
Exceptional communication skills, able to simplify complex topics for executives and provide precise technical guidance to teams.
Values
Kind, motivated, self-starting, and responsible.
Nice to have
Experience in enterprise SaaS automation or developer platforms.
Experience running large-scale evaluation and optimizing models.
State-of-the-art knowledge in one of the following: LLMs, NLP, or Computer Vision with publications, patents, or OSS contributions in this space.
