Responsibilities

• Complete audit programmes and form conclusions on each test and section completed
• Highlight issues and problems for the attention of senior auditors or managers
• Become familiar with our audit and accounting software
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for a range of clients
• Supporting audit assignments, including testing and documentation
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and working with bookkeeping data
• Liaising with clients to request information and resolve queries, Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries.
• Record and analyse financial data using the organisation\’s standard tools and processes.
• Apply double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards to process financial documents, generate financial statements and report financial information to users of accounts.
• Assist with production of accurate financial information for the preparation of accounts.
• Reconcile financial data, such as, preparation of reconciliations or review of reconciliations.

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Communicate financial information in a way that non-finance stakeholders can interpret and understand.

• Use software packages to assist with basic accounting tasks in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
• Communicate using varying approaches and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.

• During your contract, you will initially study towards the AAT or qualification and progress on to study ACA with the ICAEW to become a chartered accountant. You will be enrolled on classroom tuition at First Intuition to complete the AAT under an apprenticeship programme.
• The successful candidate will undertake a full review of their existing skills versus what is required in their new role. First Intuition will then advise on the best apprenticeship programme for them. This will be a structured AAT Apprenticeship programme at Levels 3 or 4 (depending on candidate\’s experience and knowledge).
• GCSEs Maths and English (grade Grade 6 or above) Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Qualifications
