We are now seeking a motivated Finance Assistant (Chinese Speaker) to join our Manchester team and support a wide range of core accounting and financial operations within our UK business.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join our finance team, contributing to essential accounting functions including reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Ledger & Invoicing: Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable: Manage AP/AR transactions efficiently.
- Payroll & VAT Returns: Assist with processing payroll and supporting VAT submissions (where applicable).
- Budget Support: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations across ledgers and subsidiary accounts.
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation and data for internal, statutory, and HMRC audits.
- Financial Enquiries: Handle internal and external financial queries professionally.
- Year-End Processes: Assist with schedules and reporting for annual financial close.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- 1+ years of accounting experience preferred.
- Studying AAT / CIMA / ACCA (part-qualified or equivalent).
- Experience using financial software (Xero is ideal).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Able to manage workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Confident, collaborative, and professional communicator.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- At least 2 years of valid working visa is a plus.
- No sponsorship required.
