Our JAG accredited Endoscopy service based at Furness General Hospital is looking to recruit Band 5 Nurses to join our established, motivated and friendly team. The service is predominantly nurse‑led, providing care from admission to discharge, and requires high levels of autonomy.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Surgeons, Gastroenterologists, Respiratory Consultants and Nurse Endoscopists in a range of specialised and technical procedures.
- Provide nursing care throughout the endoscopy pathway, from pre‑procedure assessment to post‑procedure discharge.
- Work in close partnership with the multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with JAG requirements.
- Actively participate in audit and governance activities to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Registered Nurse in the UK, holding a current professional registration.
- Band 5 placement with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Team‑working attitude and a keen interest in Endoscopy.
