The Oncology Unit at Furness General Hospital is looking to recruit a part-time Receptionist/Administration Clerk. You need to be enthusiastic, motivated and prepared for the challenge of providing excellent customer service to the patients using the Oncology/Haematology services in a warm, friendly environment.
Main duties of the job:
- You will be required to work at Furness General Hospital with the potential for some very occasional travel to Westmorland General Hospital.
- You will be able to work as an effective team member, demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal, and support the team in the delivery of patient-focused care.
- Previous reception team and appointment booking experience together with knowledge of the LORENZO system is an advantage.
Education and qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent to include English language and Maths.
- Keyboard skills/computer literate.
- ECDL or equivalent.
- NVQ or equivalent in Customer Care.
Experience:
- Health service experience within a clerical field.
- Previous experience of PAS system/Lorenzo or equivalent.
- Customer Care.
Skills, ability and knowledge:
- Ability to deal with information sensitively and confidentially.
- Numerate, good communication skills to include; written, verbal.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Work to tight deadlines in a professional manner.
- Problem solving and ability to multi-task.
