Job overview: Information Desk/ Meet and Greet Volunteer, positions available at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Main purpose of role: To assist in the provision of a welcoming and accommodating hospital environment.

  • Provide guidance and wayfinding to patients, visitors and staff around the main hospital site.
  • Assist with the transportation of patients to and from appointments across the hospital site.
  • Assist patients in obtaining basic information about the hospital and their appointment.
  • Assist in the hospital environment ensuring it’s equipped to accommodate patients and visitors.

We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal – plus community healthcare premises.
