Part Time, Fixed Term Maternity Cover until April 2027

UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education and a large partner in the University of the Highlands and Islands. An exciting position is available to join one of our most successful areas within the Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation department. Our BSc (H) Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, HNC Soft Tissue Therapy, and HND Sports Therapy programmes are Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation (SMTO) accredited and are taught in our sports injury clinic, within our Academy of Sport and Wellbeing (ASW). The ASW boasts a 400‑seat international‑standard (6‑court) sports hall, two gyms, a Strength and Conditioning suite, a fitness studio with Queenax functional training system, and a sport and exercise research lab. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic department that delivers a range of undergraduate courses and provides full pathways across a spectrum of sport and fitness programmes. Our success is closely aligned to extensive partnership work across the sector, including SportScotland, a range of National Governing Bodies, the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), Active IQ, SMTO, and a comprehensive network of local employers and clubs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver undergraduate-level teaching in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.
  • Support the development of Masters-level programmes within the department.
  • Engage with the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing to provide practical training opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate with partner organisations to enhance course content and employability prospects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrable sector experience consistent with our portfolio of undergraduate courses.
  • Relevant qualifications in sports therapy, soft tissue therapy, or related fields.
  • Experience as a professional practitioner.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills.
