The post holder will provide clinical skills teaching support and assist with the delivery of the clinical skills modules within the optometry curriculum. The tutor supports students in their clinical skills training and provides supervision to volunteer patient clinic sessions.

Other Information
- Salary: Hourly rate based on the UHI grade 6 pay scale.
- Working hours: Minimum of 3 sessions per semester, up to 4 hours per session. Sessions can be scheduled 9 a.m.–1 p.m. or 1 p.m.–5 p.m.
- Location: UHI House, Inverness.
- Contract type: Sessional part‑time with a minimum commitment of 3 sessions per semester.
- The successful candidate will devote the whole of their time to the duties of the post; outside paid work may only be undertaken with permission of the Principal and Vice‑Chancellor.
- Background checks: Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and other required checks.
- Pension: Part‑time staff at grade five and below are covered by the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). Full information about the scheme can be found at http://www.highlandpensionfund.org/.
