SAMS in Oban seeks a practical, proactive technician to deploy and operate oceanographic lander and mooring systems, supporting the Dark Oxygen Research Initiative and OceanSOS projects. You will join the Marine Robotics and Instrumentation team, assisting with vessel-based operations and ensuring safe, effective deployment of subsea assets. The role involves inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of subsea hardware, sensor calibration in the field (oxygen, pH, conductivity).
