Lecturer –Social Work Part Time, Permanent 2 x 17.5 Hours per week
Salary: £43,402 - £52,247 per annum, pro rata UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals who will be able to deliver and demonstrate all aspects of Health, Wellbeing and Social Services in a range of teaching environments.
Your skills should be current, and professional practice experience is essential.
You should hold a Practice Learning award, with post qualifying experience of working with social work students on placement and experience of working with and applying Standards of Social Work Education (Si SWE).
You will deliver teaching in all aspects of Health, Wellbeing and Social Services from HNC Social Services (SCQF Level 7), BA Health and Social Studies (levels 7-10) to Postgraduate level.
Ideally the successful applicant should have knowledge of specialisms in social work; professional practice, child protection, and adult protection.
Previous teaching experience is desirable and a teaching qualification (TQFE) or similar would be advantageous; or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will currently be working within or have experience of working with Further and/or Higher Education institutions; being able to provide specialist knowledge to contextualise the learning and teaching.
You must have clear and confident communication skills, the ability to relate well to others and work as part of a team, good planning and organisational skills and demonstrate initiative and self-motivation.
