The Music Industries and Theatre Arts department is a dynamic and innovative centre for creativity. We deliver immersive, interactive learning experiences that reflect the collaborative nature of the creative industries. Through high-quality, personalised programmes, we help students and professionals develop performance, technical, and industry skills empowering them to thrive in their careers.

We are seeking a Lecturer in Musical and Technical Theatre to join our team. The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree or be an experienced creative practitioner with current industry expertise and applied knowledge of performance and theatre. The ideal candidate would have strengths in:

  • Theatre production skills – experience across all sub-disciplines such as teaching sound operations and sound design is highly desirable.
  • Research and practical skills in a theatre context
  • Work-based learning and experience in a theatre context
  • Contextual studies

This role will teach and support students across Musical and Technical Theatre programmes (HNC/D and BA), working collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the wider institution, including partners at UHI Inverness and Glasgow Kelvin College. Teaching responsibilities will include SCQF Levels 9–10.

This post undertakes regulated work with children, and a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check is required. A check will be made against the list of those barred from working with children.
