Job Description
Customer Services Assistant (Term-Time Only)
Part-Time, Fixed-Term
14.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12pm-2pm (End Date 20/06/2025)
Tuesdays 4:30pm-9pm (End Date 30/05/2025)
Salary: £26,351 to £27,114 per annum, pro rata
UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
We are seeking an experienced Customer Services Assistant to join the College’s Customer Services team. You will provide reception cover and play a key role in delivering excellent service to visitors, students, and staff. This includes acting as a central information point, operating the main switchboard, answering/directing enquiries, signposting customers to a range of support services, and administering the College’s Digital Support Scheme. In this role you will carry out a variety of administrative tasks, contributing to effective daily operations and supporting the Student Experience teams (e.g. Admissions, Student Funding, Student Records, Student Support).
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer care skills, with an enthusiasm for working with people and an empathetic nature. You will have experience providing a high level of service in a reception or customer facing environment. You must be able to demonstrate strong administrative/IT skills and have a keen eye for detail. It is equally important that you are confident working unsupervised.
