Job Description
AST Hangar Technician
Full Time, Permanent
35 Hours per week
Salary: £27,504 per annum
Air Service Training (Engineering) Ltd, more commonly referred to as AST, has been providing aeronautical engineering training to the world’s Airlines, Maintenance Organisations and Military for over 90 years, in which time it has developed a reputation for innovative, effective and high-quality training to meet client needs.
AST is EASA and UK CAA Part 147 Approved to offer courses and examinations to meet the requirements of the Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence in most sub categories of the EASA Category A & B group, which includes Piston and Turbine Aeroplanes, Turbine Helicopters and Avionics.
AST is seeking to recruit a Hangar Technician to join its busy Training Team which supports a business that is developing and delivering Part 66 Training to the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals.
Approved Theoretical and Practical training takes place at Perth Airport within AST’s Training Hangar and other classroom, workshop and office facilities.
The Hangar Technician will be required to monitor and oversee the training facilities and associated equipment and ensure they remain fit for purpose to deliver the required training.
In addition, the Hangar Technician will have a key role to support the delivery of training to students at Scone.
The role is Scone based but will require routine travel to AST’s training facilities on the UHI-Perth Campus. Opportunities for travelling within the UK do exist and a Full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
