The predicted salary is between 37189 - 43300 £ per year.

Pay is based on Grade G from £37,189 pro rata *subject to pay award. Please note the hourly rate is paid for teaching hours / class contact time only.

UHI Inverness has locations at Inverness Campus and also the Scottish School of Forestry (Balloch), a growing hub for research, innovation and enterprise set within a 215 acre site.

We are seeking a candidate for a position as supply Assessor in the Land and Science team, to work alongside academic colleagues as part of the delivery of Commercial Training courses, Further Education programmes and some of our Higher Education courses, specifically in the subject area of practical rural and forestry related skills. You will be based at the Scottish School of Forestry, Balloch, Inverness. This role presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys teaching and learning to join an experienced and diverse team. You will be required to deliver curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on best practice in the teaching of topics relevant to your role. You will be required to be an effective team member able to deliver a high quality curriculum and educational experience.

If applicable, you do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply as training will be provided, however some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome. The candidate must have practical industry experience, ideally with industry competency certification in chainsaw use, use of tractors and forest machinery and all-terrain vehicles. You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject-related software packages.

Please note, the successful candidate will be subject to a PVG Disclosure Scotland and other background checks.
