Interviews are scheduled to take place on 28th November 2025. Applications are invited to the post of Junior Clinical Fellow in Respiratory Medicine at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The post is for a duration of one year (extendable) starting from December 2025. MRCP or equivalent is desirable.

The Respiratory Department sits within the Medicine Group. The Respiratory Unit has 88 beds, including 4 negative pressure rooms and ward-based NIV. Sub-specialty out-patient clinics exist for airways disease, sleep medicine and ventilation, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease and TB. The Trust is a large teaching organisation and is at the forefront of research and innovation. Boasting some of the most modern facilities in Western Europe, the Trust offers a wide range of learning and development opportunities. This advert closes on Thursday 13 Nov 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of service in respiratory medicine with responsibility for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness.
  • Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of an Integrated Respiratory Unit.
  • Participate in the general medical rota with specialist registrars, residents.
  • Provide professional supervision of more junior team members, including teaching of nursing and medical staff and medical students.
  • Participate in regular clinical audit, clinical governance and continuing professional development.
  • Be accountable for improving and complying with infection control practices.

Qualifications

  • MRCP or equivalent is desirable.
