Hygiene Night Shift Operatives keep our facility clean and safe, supporting the company in completing deep-cleaning and specialist cleaning of our manufacturing areas. We are looking for a part-time operative to join the team for 21 hours per week.
Based in Hertfordshire, UK, Ugo Foods Group has over 90 years of experience producing fresh foods. We have been a family-owned business since 1929, and with the fourth generation of the Ugo Family now involved within the business, there has never been a better time to join the Ugo Family!

Within this role you will:
- Ensure that all machinery and surfaces in the factory are cleaned to the highest standards by undertaking strict hygiene cleandowns.
- Follow a work schedule to ensure cleaning is carried out in a timely fashion, ensuring that all cleaning jobs are carried out as detailed in the cleaning cards according to factory timelines.
- Ensure that all chemical handling and relevant safety rules are followed at all times when working with chemicals, including the wearing of relevant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Inspect all cleaning to ensure it has been carried out correctly and take corrective actions, if necessary, in order to achieve the standards required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable in this role. Training will be provided. Our Hygiene Operatives work across different shift patterns; however, this role is specifically for a night shift vacancy, 22:00 to 05:30 (7 hours with 30 minutes unpaid break) Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
To undertake this role, you will be required to lift 25KGs and work in wet and chilled environments for extended periods.
