We’re hiring an Overhead Crane Service Engineer to join a leading industrial maintenance team. This is a hands-on role covering the installation, maintenance and repair of overhead crane systems across the UK. You’ll be based from our Shrewsbury site but will travel to customer sites nationwide, with some overnight stays and occasional trips abroad all fully paid.
The Role
- Install, inspect and commission new overhead cranes and lifting systems
- Carry out routine maintenance and breakdown repairs on overhead cranes and hoists
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring equipment is safe and reliable
- Provide excellent on-site support and advice to customers
- Keep detailed service and maintenance records in line with company and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer, Crane Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge (fault-finding, testing, repair)
- Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Safety-conscious with strong customer service skills
