As a result of expanding scope of works within UGL's portfolio, we are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Operations & Maintenance team at Amberley RAAF Base in QLD. This would be an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation. Benefit from the opportunity to work with a Tier 1 services provider in a long-term, operations and maintenance contract.
The Role
Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based at Amberley, supporting the SEQLD region. There will also be occasional regional travel across QLD. You will be a part of a core crew of UGL technicians. These duties will include, but not limited to:
- Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
- Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
- Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
- Support subcontracted work packages as required
- Support various sites in the Sydney basin, with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout NS
What you Need
You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer. We expect the successful applicants to have the following:
- Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
- Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.
- Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded
- Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
- Safety is at the forefront of everything you do!
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance

- Level 1 - $45.57 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($35.27 Weekly)
- Level 2 - $49.05 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($35.27 Weekly)
- Level 3 (Dual Trade) - $52.55 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($35.27 Weekly)
