The Role
In this role you will combine your first-class digital design skills with team management, strategy building and data to drive our UGG EMEA DTC consumer experiences forward. You will divide your time across multiple workstreams to ensure the Digital Design teams in UGG EMEA and globally have everything they need to succeed.

Your Impact

  • Team management: develop the Digital Design team by giving coaching, frequent 1-1s and identifying opportunities for skillset development.
  • Workflow management: manage resources and forward planning to ensure effective running of BAU.
  • Design Strategy: build out a long-term strategy roadmap for Digital Design, overlaid with wider business objectives and key launches.
  • Cross-regional collaboration: collaborate with Digital Design teams across Deckers globally and contribute to workstreams to ensure experiences are consistent and best-in-class across all digital touchpoints.
  • Brand guardianship: uphold global guidelines across all EMEA designs whilst ensuring customer experiences are culturally and regionally relevant.
  • Data-led solutions: use data to drive designs forward and enhance customer engagement.

Who You Are

  • Proven background in Digital Design within Ecommerce, ideally for a B2C brand managing a Design team.
  • A BA or equivalent industry experience in Graphic Design, or similar.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring designers, providing regular feedback and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Experience in designing for Content Management System (CMS) templates such as CoreMedia.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Experience of working in Agile teams – Familiarity with Atlassian suite of software (Jira & Confluence) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, balancing different perspectives and priorities to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience working with Development teams using agile scrum methods.
  • You have proven leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire people to grow and succeed.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, user experience, and user interface design principles.
  • Strong understanding of competitor landscape and wider e-commerce trends.
  • Experience in dealing with data and using that to form Design decisions and strategies. Ability to present findings in a concise and convincing way, as well as identify recommendations for improvement.
  • Experience taking accountability for ensuring successful delivery of all Design projects, driving quality and meeting all deadlines.

We Would Love To Hear From People With

  • Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro and other relevant design tools.
  • UX knowledge and training is preferred.
