The Ulster Farmers’ Union is seeking to recruit a Receptionist based at our office on the Antrim Road in Belfast on a part-time permanent contract, 20 hours per week .

The pattern of work is Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 5.00pm.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide an efficient receptionist service for UFU, answering and directing calls in a pleasant and efficient manner.
  • Directing messages to staff: If staff are unavailable to take calls, e-mailing a message to them with the time of the call and a brief note – name and number of caller and message if any.
  • Welcome visitors.
  • Keep reception area clean and tidy.
  • Managing all post, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Assist with tea/coffee making and ordering/preparing food for visitors.
  • Re-direct external queries as appropriate to: NFU Mutual Insurance; Countryside Services Ltd; Travel offers; Ulster Pork & Bacon Forum; etc.
  • Assist with wider administration duties such as typing, photocopying, scanning, room booking, invoice data input, editing . pdf documents etc.
  • Responsible for the ordering of stationery.
  • Assist members with membership related queries.
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave for the morning shift on reception.
  • Any other duties as required.

The salary range for this role is £22,222- £24,435 FTE, this equates to £12.21 to £13.43 per hour. The Ulster Farmers Union operates a salary scale which is reviewed annually.
