Warehouse Support Operative / Yard
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Warehouse Operative / Yard within the Warehousing Support team. You will report to the Business Unit Manager.
This position will cover the day hours of 7am – 4pm, Monday to Friday.
You will work alongside the existing support team within the warehouse and yard areas to ensure that all areas are maintained to the required high standards of tidiness, with bins, skips, and cages being emptied and recycling requirements performed promptly.
You will liaise with the skip provider to ensure the reordering and availability of the required metal, general waste, and wood waste skips to hold company waste at all times. You will ensure the recycling of waste (currently cardboard and metal), where possible, is achieved to reduce warehouse waste going to landfill.
You will liaise with the pallet providers to ensure adequate levels of empty pallets are available to support the warehouse’s daily operations. You will ensure the availability of empty pallets within the pallet holding areas for all users within Uform.
You will be responsible for the prompt unloading of deliveries upon arrival in the yard. You will also have responsibility for the wrapping and strapping of the wardrobe assembly orders in preparation for agreed despatch dates.
