In line with our strategic plan and in order to facilitate our ongoing growth plans, we now wish to appoint a Business Development Executive. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be working as part of the Sales and Business Development team. You will mainly be responsible for pro-actively qualifying, extracting, developing and driving opportunities for business growth. This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours, 5 days per week with a consideration to hybrid working.
- Identifying and qualifying new sales leads – these are a mix of inbound and outbound.
- Establishing long-term relationships with customers.
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities.
- Nurturing existing customers to increase their spend.
- Generating leads, day-to-day duties typically include:
- Researching organisations and individuals online or within the database to identify new leads and potential new markets.
- Contacting potential customers via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings.
- Presenting over the phone to decision makers.
- Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company's products.
- Developing quotes and proposals.
- Negotiating and renegotiating by phone and email.
Requirements:
- 5 GCSE passes or equivalent, including a Grade C in English and Maths.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a sales/customer services role in a high-volume business.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Experience and confidence in liaising with a range of personnel from various disciplines.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A working knowledge/experience in the use of CRM systems.
