About The Role
In line with our strategic plan and to support ongoing growth, we are appointing a Materials Planner. Responsibilities include ensuring quality, cost and delivery performance of designated suppliers, managing procurement documents within the ERP, and maintaining inventory levels that align with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier relationships: lead and coordinate supplier relationships and strategy within the designated external supply chain, assess and manage supply risks.
- Cost management: ensure inventory levels adhere to policy, maintain procurement data, address cost issues, and coordinate counter‑measures with Procurement Managers.
- Delivery: monitor supplier delivery performance, consult with Procurement Managers if required, and agree counter‑measures for sub‑standard performance.
- Quality: oversee quality performance, coordinate with Procurement and Quality, and manage the replenishment of returned goods.
- Processes and procedures: ensure adherence to company procedures, improve processes, maintain procurement systems and records, and meet KPIs.
- Code of ethics: ensure compliance with the global code of ethics.
Essential Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in material planning, inventory management or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing.
- Attention to detail to ensure on‑time, accurate material planning.
- Proven track record in delivering results.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with drive to resolve issues and identify root causes.
- Team player, able to communicate accurately with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Understanding of inventory management techniques.
