The predicted salary is between 24215 - 24215 £ per year.

Salary on appointment will be £24,215 per annum.

Key duties of the role include working as part of our well-respected Post and Portering team to deliver a portering service to support the University's needs. These include:

  • Supporting our key events, such as Open Days, Assessments and Graduation Ceremonies.
  • Carring single boxes to help staff who are relocating across the campus and supporting large scale staff moves as part of refurbishment projects.
  • Moving furniture to support major University Projects.
  • Providing a postal counter service for our 4,000 student residents to collect their mail from, along with a delivery service of mail and parcels to the Schools and departments across our main campus and the nearby research park.

You will be a good communicator with a customer focused approach. You will also have an awareness of manual handling, health and safety and be a competent IT user. There is a requirement for some flexibility regarding working hours, to support key events and campus users. A full UK driving licence, experience in a similar role and DIY related skills are not essential but would be advantageous.

These full-time posts are available immediately. We have one indefinite post and one post which is fixed term for a period of 18 months.
