An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer and Tutor - Pharmacy Technician Education to join the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology to deliver lectures, carry out teaching-related duties and provide advisor support to pre-registration trainees pharmacy technician apprentices and post-qualification pharmacy technicians.
The main role focuses on teaching and assessment of our programmes for both pre and post-qualification pharmacy technicians across different NHS sectors and settings. Therefore, applicants should have both knowledge and enthusiasm for pharmacy technician education and for the progression of pharmacy technicians as healthcare professionals.
Alongside our enthusiastic team, you will actively contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the courses. Therefore, together with your experience as an educator, you must be a good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will ideally hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards) and have previous experience of teaching formally in small and large groups. You will also have experience in work-based assessment and should be able to meet all the essential elements set out in the person specification for this post.
This full-time post is available from 23 November 2026 on an indefinite basis. UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including part-time and job share. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
