About The Role:
You are responsible for the efficient running of the Depot. You will review the programme of works to ensure efficient use of the depot resources as well as ensuring that sufficient resources of the correct competencies are available to deliver the works. You are also responsible for managing Health, Safety and Welfare of employees.
Duties Include:
- Assisting the Operations Manager with the programming and delivery of works and ensuring correct level of resources.
- Following approved accident and incident reporting process, complete paperwork and provide initial reports.
- Carrying out accident investigation, and taking statements, collecting evidence etc.
- Producing operational documents and drawings for various schemes as required e.g., Method Statements, Risk Assessments, TM Layout drawings.
- Monitoring TM sub contractor’s timesheets and invoices.
- Supporting the commercial team by maintaining accurate records of operations e.g., Plant and Labour reports.
- Maintaining vehicle records.
- Ensuring the workforce understand what is required of them.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with sub contractors and clients.
- Ensuring timely delivery of Toolbox Talks, Safety Alerts & Memos.
- Undertaking site inspections & audits.
What Good Looks Like For a Traffic Management Supervisor:
- Must be M6 qualified and M7 preferable.
- Knowledge of Chapter 8.
- Must be highly experienced in Low Speed Traffic Management.
- Able to pass a safety critical worker medical.
- Full driving licence, with no more than 6 points.
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Positive “can-do” attitude.
- Adaptability and Flexibility.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and experience of leading a team in a comparable role.
- Proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Excellent communicator and team worker with the confidence and ability to deliver presentations to the workforce.
