About Us:
Consilium Technical Services delivers Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) designs for urban and rural roads, dual carriageways and motorways across the UK, using the latest industry software and best practice standards. Alongside TTM design, we provide vehicle swept path analysis, consultancy, RRRAP assessments, BIM/3D design and traffic modelling, partnering with clients from early planning through to delivery.
About the Role:
As a Temporary Traffic Management CAD Designer, you’ll produce compliant, high-quality designs using an array of leading software, from 2D street works layouts to 3D/BIM designs for high-speed dual carriageways.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll take ownership of designs from brief to issue, ensuring work meets relevant standards and regulations, and reporting into our Operation Leads.
- Producing Temporary Traffic Management CAD designs
- Attending client meetings and supporting technical discussions
- Maintaining accurate internal design records and documentation
- Completing design risk assessments and contributing to safer solutions
This is a great opportunity to join a successful, supportive team and work alongside talented designers and engineers. Hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:30am and 4:30pm.
About You:
You’re an organised, self‑motivated CAD designer who communicates clearly and is comfortable working with clients and internal stakeholders. You thrive under deadlines, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and take pride in producing accurate, well‑presented designs with strong attention to detail. You understand the importance of compliance and safety, and you’re proactive about learning and improving the way we work.
Essential Attributes:
- Proven experience in a CAD design technician role
- Experience in a similar role and/or installing temporary traffic management
- Good understanding of relevant industry guidelines and reference documents
- Competent with AutoCAD Civils, BricsCAD, Cone, AutoTURN, KeyLines and KeySigns
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Attributes:
- BIM and 3D design experience/knowledge
- IHE Temporary Traffic Management Certificate (or working towards)
