Job title - Traffic Management Operative (Qualified and Trainee)
Location: Ringwood depot - Within travelling distance from Bournemouth, Salisbury, Weymouth, Dorchester, Southampton, Shaftesbury
Hours: Guaranteed 48 HPW plus OT opportunities; must be flexible to work weekends!
Day shifts are typical, but flexibility is key — you’ll need to be open to evenings, nights, weekends, working away during peak periods, and joining the on‑call rota, especially if you have access to a company van

About Us
Chevron TM, part of Ramudden Global UK, ensures road workers and users stay safe during roadworks by setting up temporary road closures, diversion routes, and pedestrian walkways. We handle everything from cones and signage to traffic lights and barriers. Our work is visible nationwide.

Role
You will be operating close to moving traffic, where strict safety procedures must be followed at all times. It’s a physically demanding role that requires:

What You’ll Be Doing
- Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management
- Set up cones, signs, barriers and safety equipment
- Keep roadworkers and the public safe at all times
- Communicate with colleagues, clients and control teams
Trainee
- Work towards your fully funded 12D qualifications*
- Gain hands-on experience by teaming with our Qualified Operatives.
What We Are Looking For
As a Traffic Management Operative, the following requirements are essential!
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
- Driving Licence: Full licence with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago.
- Testing: Must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results).
- Attitude: Positive, “can-do” mindset.
- Skills: Adaptability, flexibility, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexibility: Able to work weekends, nights and work away, if and when required.
- Mentor New Trainees: Share your knowledge and guide new team members as they learn the ropes.
Desirable
- Qualifications: M1 M2, M3 M4 M5 M6 (SLG Unit 2 will be considered)
- Traffic Management Training is subject to signing a training agreement.
