The Florey provides an integrated service to Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire. The level 3 service is fast paced and this is a fantastic opportunity to develop within a supportive and friendly environment.

Main duties of the job:

  • The post holder is responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing planned nursing care, and for the maintenance of associated records for patients in the given clinical area.
  • The post holder works as an effective team member, assisting in the management and the organisation of work as required.
  • The post holder displays effective communication skills and works as a role model for good practice, supporting and developing students and more junior colleagues as required.

Person Specification

Education / Qualification / Training
  • NMC Registered Nurse or Midwife
  • Accredited course in GU medicine or completion of internal development documentation
  • Completed FSRH diploma or accredited university equivalent
Experience
  • Significant post-registration experience
  • Recent clinical experience in speciality area
  • Experience in mentoring, facilitation, teaching, assessing, coaching
  • Experience of leadership activities
  • Experience of involvement Change Management
Other
  • Some understanding of HR Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of COSHH procedures and Risk Management
  • Good IT Skills
