The Florey Sexual Health Clinic is looking for a full-time band 2 Receptionist to join our busy Reception team. Reception is the first point of contact within our busy and extremely sensitive service, and therefore a friendly, unprejudiced, sympathetic, mature attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels is essential for the successful applicant. We are looking for a team player with great communication and excellent customer-service skills and a positive attitude towards work.
Main duties of the job:
- Book appointments and greet patients.
- Carry out an effective telephone triage booking service.
- Work individually and within a team.
- Adapt flexibly to change and remain reliable.
Person Specification
Education: GCSE (or equivalent) or above in Maths and English Language.
Essential Experience:
- Experience within a customer service setting.
- Experience of note management.
- Previous experience of working with databases and maintaining data quality.
Desirable Experience:
- Reception experience.
- Experience within an NHS administration environment.
- Experience of working with clients of differing healthcare needs.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines.
Required: GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics, computer literate. Previous NHS experience is not required, but customer-facing experience is desired.
