This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity for 18 months. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Planned Care team as a Patient Pathway Coordinator (PPC). We currently have an opportunity for a Band 4 PPC at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust (RBFT), where we provide a first-class, efficient, pro-active and patient-focused admin service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organized individual to provide specialist admin support to the Gastroenterology & Endoscopy team. You will need to be confident working within a team in a fast-paced environment and have good IT skills, be comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues at all levels and work quickly and accurately under pressure. You will be responsible and accountable for consistently and accurately carrying out your duties as well as the provision of a high quality and efficient service, providing this in a confident and courteous way to service users.

Job responsibilities:

Person Specification:

  • Essential: Administration/Customer Care or acquired equivalent experience
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Customer Care experience
  • Experience of handling patient/customer queries
  • Experience of arranging appointments and/or admissions
  • Experience of working with patients and providing information regarding their appointments or treatment team

Desirable:

  • Experience of using data systems
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience of handling complaints
