Our Paediatrics department is excited to advertise a permanent full‑time Ward Clerk position in our children's Kempton Day Bed Unit.
Main duties of the job:
- Front of house representation for the named ward, to meet and greet patients and families upon arrival.
- Ensure all patients and colleagues are treated courteously at all times in line with customer care standards and Trust values.
- Reception duties, checking patients in on hospital IT systems, communicate with clinical staff of arrivals and guiding patients and their relatives to appropriate waiting areas.
- Support nursing and clinical ward team with all administrative duties required for the role.
- Answering telephone enquiries promptly and efficiently, handling a variety of requests in a professional manner whilst upholding the hospitals CARE values throughout the interaction.

Essential:
- GCSE or Equivalent A-C grades (including English)
- Experience in a customer care role with excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- NHS administration course completion
- NHS administration experience/working in a patient facing role either in primary or secondary care
