Our Paediatrics department is excited to advertise a permanent full‑time Ward Clerk position in our children's Kempton Day Bed Unit.

Main duties of the job:

  • Front of house representation for the named ward, to meet and greet patients and families upon arrival.
  • Ensure all patients and colleagues are treated courteously at all times in line with customer care standards and Trust values.
  • Reception duties, checking patients in on hospital IT systems, communicate with clinical staff of arrivals and guiding patients and their relatives to appropriate waiting areas.
  • Support nursing and clinical ward team with all administrative duties required for the role.
  • Answering telephone enquiries promptly and efficiently, handling a variety of requests in a professional manner whilst upholding the hospitals CARE values throughout the interaction.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • GCSE or Equivalent A-C grades (including English)
  • Experience in a customer care role with excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • NHS administration course completion
  • NHS administration experience/working in a patient facing role either in primary or secondary care
