Job Overview
- Contract: 12 months locum
- Locations: Royal Berkshire Hospital & Oxford University Hospitals
- Hours: Full time β 40 hours per week
- On-call: 1 in 7 non-resident for Gynaecology at RBH
- Salary: Β£109,725 β Β£145,478 per annum

Main Responsibilities
- Lead patient care on the 62-day cancer pathway: diagnosis, treatment planning and surgical intervention.
- Attend weekly outpatient clinics at RBH.
- Participate in the Gynaecological Cancer MDT across both sites.
- Undertake elective surgical procedures including complex oncology cases.
- Provide clinical leadership for service improvement initiatives focused on pathway efficiency and surgical outcomes.
- Contribute to the non-resident on-call rota at RBH and provide acute gynaecology cover as required.
Person Specification β Education & Qualifications
- Full registration with the GMC; eligible for registration within 6 months of CCST in (Speciality).
- Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of the United Kingdom or equivalent.
- Colposcopy accredited.
Person Specification β Clinical Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Fully trained in gynaecology.
- Previous responsibility for clinical governance and GMC Good Medical Practice.
- Experience in oncology and in a cancer tertiary centre.
- ATSMs in benign gynaecology hysteroscopy or medical education.
Audit Management & IT
- Ability to work within clinical governance guidelines.
- Undertake audits and present data as required.
- Good IT skills; use of patient and hospital database.
Research, Teaching & Experience
- Track record of publications in peer review journals.
- Evidence of providing good teaching and supervision to trainees.
