Personal Assistant (Child) Kendal β WAF071-CR
Advertised on behalf of parents/customer:
A rewarding opportunity is available for a compassionate, confident, and experienced Personal Assistant to support a happy, loving and cuddly 5-year-old girl in Kendal with developmental delay and complex sensory needs.
The role involves providing support both at home and in the community, helping her to access activities she enjoys while ensuring she remains safe, engaged, and supported. She loves being outdoors, visiting parks and play areas, riding her bike, painting, playing on her trampoline and climbing frame, and joining in with fun and silly play. She also enjoys using her door swing at home.
The child has a good understanding of the world around her and communicates using some speech, PECS, and an AAC device. Due to her communication and sensory needs, previous experience supporting children with additional needs and alternative communication methods is essential.
The ideal PA will be fun, energetic, and confident in supporting a child with complex needs. As there can be occasions when she displays challenging behaviour, applicants must be able to remain calm and responsive. A female PA is preferred for this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in a young child's life while supporting her development, independence and enjoyment of activities she loves.
