Based at Taunton College, the Student Experience & Safeguarding Officer plays a pivotal role in coordinating wellbeing and safeguarding support for students across the College.
Salary: £25,906 - £27,602 per annum Scale 6 Actual. £29,226 - £31,139 per annum Scale 6 FTE *Plus 20.3% Employer pension Contribution.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Safeguarding Team Leader.
- Triage referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate support is provided.
- Maintain a calm and effective approach under pressure.
- Support students, particularly those from vulnerable groups, by addressing a wide range of issues that may affect their learning and overall college experience.
- Provide one-to-one and group guidance and mentoring.
- Signpost students to internal services or external agencies.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment across the college group.
