We are in search of individuals to work alongside our dynamic team initially on a casual basis at pre-determined intervals, currently two days per term. There may be scope if provision is successful to increase this in the future or opportunities to deliver on a range of additional activities we create throughout the year. This may be suitable for someone who is currently working within the hospitality industry and wanted to find out more about taking the step into educational delivery of the subject.
This is a Part time Casual Position.
You will play a pivotal role in the creation and implementation of our adult learner provision, supporting, delivering and imparting specialist knowledge and expertise. Working in our outstanding training kitchen in the Quantock Restaurant, our ideal candidate/s is someone who possesses a genuine passion for sharing their knowledge and is deeply committed to shaping the development of skills.
The role includes creating short courses for our adult leisure provision, this will include preparing marketing, planning delivery and creating learning materials. The courses are currently 5 or 7 hours long. We are specifically looking for candidates who may have experience in one or more of the following areas of plant-based cookery, mixology, butchery, patisserie, seafood, pasta and artisan bakery. This list is not exhaustive, and we would welcome applications from candidates with specialist skills which would attract interest in our adult learner provision. Candidates are invited to explain fully their specialism which they could deliver confidently to a group of adult learners in the additional documents of the application.
You’ll be required to motivate students that may be enrolled on a course not only for the purpose of acquiring industry-specific skills but also potentially for their personal enjoyment and enrichment.
