The Quantock Restaurant at Taunton College is a modern, realistic working environment (RWE) which comprises of a training kitchen and 60 cover restaurant. The purpose is to prepare students for careers within the hospitality industry, integrating both theoretical and technical delivery fulfilling requirements of various qualifications.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Hospitality department, which has proven to be hugely successful for both students, employers and the community alike. We are seeking an individual to support the development of the Catering and Hospitality provision due to the increase of student numbers and the diverse range of activities created by the existing teams.
Ideally the candidate will have experience in both front and back of house within a prestigious hospitality business. Part of the role will include responsibility for supporting the smooth running of the Quantock Restaurant and kitchen throughout the varied opening hours, this will include regular evenings on a weekly basis. The candidate will also provide an outstanding learning experience for all students whilst maintaining an exceptional dining experience for our restaurant guests.
They will support the existing team in the planning and running of the sessions in the Quantock Restaurant and kitchen, recent experience within a professional working kitchen is highly desirable. This will also include responsibility for delivering theoretical modules of study across several levels of cohorts.
