This is a pivotal senior role at an important stage in CSL’s development, offering a significant opportunity to shape the future estate of a diverse, multi-campus college group. The Group Estates Director will lead the strategic development of high-quality, sustainable and financially resilient learning and working environments that support learners, staff and the long-term ambitions of UCS College Group.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Managing Director Corporate Services, the Group Estates Director will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of the Group’s long-term estate strategy and capital programme across a significant and diverse operational estate, including four campuses, residential accommodation and commercial leases. The postholder will ensure the estate supports curriculum priorities, learner and staff experience, commercial growth, sustainability, compliance, financial resilience and effective use of Group assets.
The role will translate Group strategy into a prioritised estate roadmap, robust investment cases and well-governed capital programmes. The postholder will provide strategic direction and assurance, with day-to-day operational estates and facilities delivery led through the relevant Heads of Service. The postholder will work closely with the Managing Director, Group SLT, College leaders, professional advisers, contractors, funders and external partners, and will line manage the Group Head of Estate Services, Group Head of Facilities and Group Project Managers.
