We are looking for an experienced and driven Nursery Manager / Operations Manager to join a growing private nursery in Sutton. This is a full-time senior leadership role within a thriving Early Years setting, offering the opportunity to oversee the daily management of the nursery while supporting the wider operational success of the business. It is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Early Years professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a supportive and expanding organisation.
You will be:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring exceptional standards of care, education, and safeguarding
- Working closely with senior leadership to support the operational and strategic development of the nursery
- Leading, coaching, and developing the nursery team through recruitment, inductions, supervisions, and performance reviews
- Ensuring full compliance with the EYFS framework, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and health and safety legislation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
- Supporting occupancy, staff retention, and the continued growth and success of the nursery
- Monitoring nursery policies, operational procedures, record keeping, and quality assurance processes
- Driving continuous improvement across the setting while promoting a positive and collaborative team culture
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have significant experience managing or leading an Early Years setting. A thorough understanding of the EYFS framework, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, nursery operations, and staff leadership is essential. Excellent organisational, communication, and people management skills are required, along with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
