UCM Education is working in partnership with several specialist SEND schools across Lambeth, who are seeking passionate and reliable SEND Teaching Assistants to join their teams immediately. We have full-time and part-time opportunities available.
Work Schedule
- Full-time roles: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:00pm
- Part-time supply: Flexible, ad-hoc work to suit your availability
All positions are offered via the agency on a timesheet basis, with full-time staff having the opportunity to apply for permanent roles in the future.
About the Schools
The schools support students aged 2 - 19 with EHCPs for PMLD, SLD, ASD, and complex needs. While academic development is a key focus, the schools are equally committed to helping students build independence, confidence, and life skills in a nurturing, inclusive setting.
About the Role
You will be working in small classes (typically 4 - 8 pupils), providing 1:1 and small group support. Many students are non-verbal, so experience or understanding of PECS and Makaton is highly desirable. Some roles will involve personal care, and training in manual handling, tracheostomy care, or PEG feeding is advantageous but not essential.
