We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Pre-School Room Leader to join a well-established private nursery in Westminster. This is a full-time leadership position within a high-quality Early Years setting and is ideal for an experienced Level 3 practitioner who is passionate about leading a pre-school room and delivering outstanding EYFS provision. The nursery offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within a supportive and child-centred environment.
Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day practice within the pre-school room and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
- Managing, mentoring, and supporting practitioners within the room
- Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Acting as a key person and building strong relationships with children and their families
- Monitoring children's progress through observations, assessments, and next-step planning
- Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and maintaining full compliance with EYFS requirements
- Working closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support children's individual needs
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery and contributing to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have previous experience working within a pre-school room, ideally in a Room Leader or senior practitioner role. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, child development, and staff leadership is essential. Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills are required.
