We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery in Kingston upon Thames. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional to work closely with the Nursery Manager, supporting the effective day-to-day running of the setting while leading and developing the nursery team. The role is ideal for someone looking to progress their management career within a supportive and high-quality Early Years environment.
You will be:
- Supporting the Nursery Manager with the daily running and overall management of the setting
- Leading, motivating, and developing the nursery team to maintain high standards of care and education
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality EYFS provision and ensuring children's individual needs are met
- Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and maintaining compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- Building positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
- Supporting staff through supervision, mentoring, training, and performance development
- Assisting with policies, procedures, record keeping, and quality assurance across the nursery
- Contributing to continuous improvement and the ongoing success of the setting
The successful candidate will have relevant Early Years experience and ideally hold a Level 3 qualification or above. Previous experience in a senior or leadership position within a nursery setting is highly desirable. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, child development, and team leadership is essential, alongside excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
