A specialist SEN school in Harrow is looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Complex Needs.
Position details:
- Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to start ASAP or September
- Long-term role with scope to become permanent, based on your performance
- Full-time position (Monday to Friday)
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have:
- At least 3 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism and learning difficulties
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential
You will need:
- A fully enhanced DBS
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
