We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Pre‑School Room Leader to join a well‑established private nursery in Westminster. This is a full‑time leadership position within a high‑quality Early Years setting and is ideal for an experienced Level 3 practitioner who is passionate about leading a pre‑school room and delivering outstanding EYFS provision. Responsibilities
- Leading the day‑to‑day practice within the pre‑school room and ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning
- Managing, mentoring, and supporting practitioners within the room
- Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Acting as a key person and building strong relationships with children and their families
- Monitoring children's progress through observations, assessments, and next‑step planning
- Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and maintaining full compliance with EYFS requirements
- Working closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support children's individual needs
- Supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the nursery and contributing to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have previous experience working within a pre‑school room, ideally in a Room Leader or senior practitioner role.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, child development, and staff leadership is essential.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills are required.
